About The Role

Home Instead Vancouver is seeking compassionate and dedicated CAREGivers to join our team. We support seniors in remaining safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes. Our mission is rooted in three guiding principles: Build Trust, Take the Lead, and Share Our Hearts.

We provide non‑medical care professional services which support seniors to live in their own homes in the central Vancouver area.

Responsibilities

• Companionship – provide conversation and engaging activities
• Home Support – Light housekeeping, groceries and errands
• Meal Preparation
• Accompanying seniors to activities and appointments
• Assistance with Mobility
• Personal Care – Must be comfortable assisting all genders of clients
• Dementia Care
• Overnight and weekend care

Ideal CARE Giver Candidate

• Speaks and understands English fluently
• Possesses adequate relationship‑building skills
• Has experience in the medical field as a Foreign Trained Nurse, Doctor or Care‑Aide is a huge asset
• Shifts are available days, evenings, nights and weekends
• Enjoys working with the elderly and providing person‑centered care
• Shows compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to help others
• Comfortable using a smart phone and navigating apps, online forms, and emails
• Must be living in the Vancouver area and have residency or a valid work permit (we do not offer sponsorship)
• Can travel within service area (Vancouver proper)
• Must have at least 20 hours of consistent availability
• No professional registration is required for this position

An active driver’s license and/or car is a PLUS!
