Job summary

Mainroad Alberta Contracting (Vermilion) LP seeks a Superintendent to lead day-to-day highway maintenance operations in Camrose or Vermilion, Alberta. You will guide field teams, ensure contract requirements are met, and report to the Contracts Manager.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of leadership in highway maintenance, heavy civil construction, or related field.
• Degree/diploma in Engineering, Business Admin or Construction Management, or equivalent.
• Experience interpreting legislation and contract documents.
• Ability to lead teams, drive safety and quality, and manage budgets.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to foremen and staff to meet performance KPIs.
• Oversee day-to-day operations of highway, bridge, and pavement work.
• Plan seasonal operations and the Snow and Ice Control program.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and fleet teams.
• Monitor budgets, costs, and financial reporting to leadership.
• Lead safety culture and compliance with OH&S and ISO standards.
