Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Supervisor to lead highway infrastructure, maintenance and construction activities in Alberta. You’ll oversee crews to ensure safety, environmental, and maintenance standards are met.

This role requires proven planning, scheduling and leadership skills with HS&E emphasis, plus the ability to manage budgets and regulatory compliance. Local work in Alberta with relocation support may be involved.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in highway road maintenance, infrastructure, bridge maintenance, or construction in a supervisory role.
• Technical training or trade certification in a related field is an asset.
• Experience managing bridge and highway projects is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
• Proven planning, scheduling, and leadership skills.
• Experience with continuous improvement processes (ISO or other management systems) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct teams to meet project goals, safety, and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with front-line leaders to fulfill contract requirements.
• Monitor performance metrics (cost, schedule, safety, quality, environment) and guide teams to achieve them.
• Assist in schedule development, resource allocation, and execution plans.
• Coach and mentor front-line leaders to enhance team performance.
• Promote a strong safety culture and compliance with HS&E standards.
• Review financial reports and implement strategies to achieve targets.
• Ensure contract and regulatory compliance, including collective agreement administration.
• Assist in planning and implementing asset utilization improvements.
