Lakes District Maintenance is hiring for an Auxiliary Highway Maintenance Worker & Operator in Telegraph Creek, BC. The role reports to the Area Foreman and involves safe operation of heavy trucks and equipment for highway maintenance, with emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in highway maintenance is preferred.
• Experience operating graders is an asset.
• Good knowledge of safety rules and regulations for driving and operating vehicles and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy trucks and equipment for highway maintenance.
• Perform road surface maintenance including snow and ice control and roadside maintenance.
• Complete required documentation such as fuel logs, road reports, and safety records.
• Report potential problems or defects and maintain equipment to company standards.
