Qualifications

Langley Christian School is accepting applications for a High School Visual Arts Teacher to begin in August 2025.

THE POSITION

The High School Visual Arts Teacher will collaborate with the High School Performing Arts Coordinator to build and maintain our comprehensive Arts Program.

You will engage students through multiple artistic mediums, including digital art.

You possess energy, commitment, and readiness to participate in extra-curricular programming by coaching basketball or volleyball, contributing to set building for musical theatre, or completing the school yearbook.

QUALIFICATIONS

BC Ministry of Education Certification

Relevant university qualifications (Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Visual Arts)

Prior experience is an asset

Knowledge of Visual Arts Education

Demonstrates awareness of effective teaching practices for Gr. 9-12 students

Ability to collaborate with others within visual, fine, and performing arts

Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign is an asset

Familiarity with yearbook creating and submission is an asset.

WHAT DO WE OFFER?

Annual salary range of $65,507 – $108,316
