Job summary

Living Sky School Division is seeking a Temporary Full-Time High School Teacher (1.0 FTE) for Cando Community School, starting immediately. The position runs until January 29, 2027, with possible extension based on enrolment and school needs.

The successful candidate will teach high school subjects, with assignment determined by school needs and the applicant’s strengths and experience. Cando operates on an alternative calendar with 14 Fridays off over the year.

Qualifications

• Valid Saskatchewan Professional A Teaching Certificate or eligibility for Saskatchewan teacher certification.
• Ability to incorporate First Nations history, perspectives, and ways of knowing across the curriculum.
• Strong relationships with students and ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Teach at the high school level; assignment determined by school needs and applicant strengths.
• Teach within an alternative school calendar; benefit from Fridays off remaining in the term.
• Support student engagement, belonging, and success through inclusive practice.
