Pukatawagan is a community of the Mathias Colomb Cree Nation located in northern Manitoba near the Saskatchewan border (North-East of Flin Flon, South of Lynn Lake, West of Thompson). It is situated in an area of beautiful lakes, rivers, and forests. Sakastew School is a K-12 school.
Pukatawagan is located on the Churchill River, also known as the Missinippi River. The population is over 3,000, both on and off reserve. Access is available by train or plane from The Pas, with a winter road during the colder months.
