Job summary

Oxford Learning Calgary Sage Hill is seeking a part-time English Tutor to support students after school and on Saturdays. You’ll work with up to three learners, both online and in-person, following our proven methods.

No prior lesson planning is required as lessons are pre-planned and trainees receive full training. You should have a relevant degree or be a university student with tutoring experience, strong English communication, and the ability to multitask among several students at once.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field.
  • University students with tutoring experience will be considered
  • Good knowledge of the current high school (Gr 10-12) ELA and Social Studies curriculum is an asset

Part-Time English Tutor Wanted

Oxford Learning Calgary Sage Hill is currently seeking part-time tutors for a role in our learning centre. This position is perfect for anyone who loves working with students, enjoys teaching the ins and outs of language and social studies and is passionate about helping others build their skills in these areas.

Tutors at Oxford Learning do not have to lesson plan before class, as all lessons are pre-planned. Applicants will be fully trained in our proprietary philosophy and methods.

Position Requirements

All tutors at Oxford Learning work during after-school and evening hours (4:00pm - 8:00pm) as well as Saturdays (10:00am - 3:00pm). A commitment until the end of the school year is preferred. Continuing through the summer is even better. Your students will love working with you, and being reliable is a must.

This role is in-person. You must be able to commute to this location. This is not an online position. No relocation package is offered.

Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or similar certification in a relevant field
  • University students with tutoring experience will be considered

  • Strong English written and oral communication skills and ability to guide students' understanding
