Job summary

SmartCentres IP Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre at The Millway, a 460+ rental community. You will lead the maintenance team, ensure safety compliance, and deliver exceptional resident experiences.

The role requires a post-secondary certificate in related field and at least five years of building maintenance experience, with strong leadership and problem-solving skills. Competitive base pay and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

Post-secondary certificate in Building Maintenance, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline, or equivalent approved combination of education and experience.
Minimum five (5) years’ experience in building maintenance and/or construction including working with various building trades.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, Fire Code, CSA standards, and Electrical Safety Authority.
Manage maintenance IQ work orders and participate in capital projects and maintenance contracts.
Coordinate maintenance staff and on-call coverage for emergencies.
Oversee maintenance, cleaning, and repairs of units and common areas.
Monitor HVAC and automation systems; manage subcontractors as needed.
Maintain maintenance records and report persistent problems to management.
