Zusammenfassung

Gategroup is seeking motivated drivers to support our airline catering operations in Nova Scotia. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will load and unload catering materials for flights, follow flight schedules, and ensure safety and accuracy.

You will perform pre-trip checks, drive the high-loader catering vehicle, and work 8-hour rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. A clean driving record and high school diploma are required; CDL is an asset.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum high school diploma is required.
• Minimum Class 5 driver’s license is required; CDL driver’s license a strong asset.
• Clean driving record.
• RAIC a strong asset.

Aufgaben

• Complete the gathering and fault-free timely load/off-load of catering material with complete load security, coordinating with departments and duty manager.
• Complete pre-trip truck checks and drive the high-loader catering vehicle.
• Load and unload aircraft per flight schedules, loading lists/labels and stowages in correct galley positions per safety and customer requirements.
• Liaise with the Transport Dispatcher for injuries, accidents, material shortages, or irregular operations.
• Compliance with regulations (Materials/Security/Country/Safety/SQOR/Company Rules and Procedures).

Reporting into the Supervisor (Team Leader Air Side Team) the Driver is responsible for the correct load/off-load of the vehicles according to flight schedules, loading lists, health, safety and customer requirements.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Completes the gathering and fault free timely load / off-load of catering material, assuring complete load security, coordinating with all necessary departments and duty manager.
2. Completes the pre-trip truck checks, ensuring cleanliness and assumes responsibility for the driving of high-loader catering vehicle.
3. Loads and unloads aircraft in accordance with flight schedules, loading lists / labels and stowages in the correct galley positions and health and safety / customer requirements.
4. Liaises with the Transport Dispatcher in the case of injuries and accidents, absence of material, or any other irregular operations or block outs.
5. Compliance with the regulations (Materials / Security / Country / Safety / SQOR / Company Rules and Procedures).

Qualifications

Education/Technical Skills:

• Minimum high school diploma is required.
• Minimum Class 5 driver’s license is required CDL driver’s license a strong asset
• Clean driving record
• RAIC a strong asset

Work Experience:

• Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment

Job Requirements:

• Work 8 hours rotative shifts that will include weekdays, weekends and holidays with Rotational weekends off
• Work overtime when required
• Arrive to work on-time
• Pass a criminal background check and driver’s abstract
• Complete paperwork
• Communicate with supervisors and co-workers
• Follow directions
• Work as a member of a team

Environmental Requirements and Working Conditions:

• Will be exposed to temperature changes and noise
• This is a physically demanding position - Regularly stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
• Must be able to work at heights up to 20-25 feet
