St. Albert Public Schools in Alberta is hiring a full-time Temporary Educational Assistant 3 (EA3) for École Hillgrove School as part of BASC programming. The position offers 30.0 hours per week, 6.0 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with an hourly rate of $28.52 per hour under the CUPE Collective Agreement.

• Advanced knowledge of behavioural management techniques and applying changing intervention strategies to respond to severe and unpredictable behaviours.
• Experience participating in the development, implementation, and monitoring of Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
• Ability to modify and adapt tasks, activities, and learning materials to support student participation at an appropriate level.
• Experience identifying and implementing alternate strategies to assist students in meeting individual learning, behavioural, and social-emotional goals.
• Ability to support students in maintaining self-respect and dignity while addressing individual behavioural needs.
• Experience providing social, emotional, behavioural, and learning supports.
• Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in applying IPP goals, intervention strategies, and student support plans.
• Experience working collaboratively with classroom teachers, school-based teams, parents/caregivers, consulting specialists, and outside agencies, as required.
• Ability to coordinate classroom activities and manage groups of students with severe behavioural needs.
• Experience administering medications, providing personal care, assisting with heavy lifting, and using physical aides, as required.
• First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
• Behaviour modification courses are an asset.

St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting aFull Time, Temporary, Educational Assistant 3 (EA3) for a work assignment at École Hillgrove School withinBASC programming.

Hours of Work : 30.0hrs. /week; 6.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Full Time, Temporary
