The Surrey Centre, located in Surrey, BC, offers a full range of services in Medical Oncology, Hematology, Radiation Oncology, Palliative care, and support services such as Oral Oncology, Nutrition, Clinical Trials, and Patient and Family Counseling.

Surrey is located 30 kilometres from downtown Vancouver and offers access to a variety of recreational and cultural activities in the Greater Vancouver area.

Position Overview

As a Hematologist, you will leverage your experience and qualifications to provide hemato-oncology consultation, patient care, teaching, and research, focusing on myeloid/lymphoid malignancies.

We seek a hematologist with expertise in treating myeloid/lymphoid malignancies. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative care team committed to excellence and will participate in clinical, research, administrative, and educational activities.

Qualifications
  • Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada in Internal Medicine, with a certificate of Special Competence in hematology, or completed residency in hematology.
  • Eligibility for licensing with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of British Columbia.
  • Credentialing by the Professional Advisory Committee of BC Cancer.
  • Eligibility for a clinical appointment in the Division of Medical Oncology at the University of British Columbia.
  • Must be eligible for a valid license to practice medicine in Canada.
Additional Requirements
  • Commitment to Indigenous reconciliation and knowledge of related social, economic, political, and historical issues.
  • Familiarity with Indigenous Cultural Safety and anti-racism initiatives.
