BTY Group in Vancouver, BC, is recruiting an IT Helpdesk Technician to be the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance by phone or email.

You will troubleshoot, remote-support, document requests, and perform hands-on desktop fixes while delivering strong customer service in a collaborative team environment at BTY Group.

Formación

• 2+ years of relevant experience in an IT-related role.
• Diploma or University Degree in the computer-related field.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Tech savvy with working knowledge of office products, particularly excel and word.
• Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and other tech products
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
• Exceptional customer service orientation.
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email
• Perform troubleshooting over the phone, email, through remote support software
• Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all actions taken through to final resolution
• Apply diagnostic utilities to aid in troubleshooting
• Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and frequently asked questions resources on the Internet to aid in problem resolution
• Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
• Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals
• Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolves
• Perform post-resolution follow-ups to help requests

The typical hiring range for this Vancouver role is $60,000-$70,000 CAD per year. This represents base salary only, not total compensation, and BTY Group may offer more or less depending on a candidate's experience and qualifications. Compensation takes into account education, training, experience, location, market factors, and internal alignment. In line with BC Pay Transparency rules, a candidate's past salary will not be considered in determining pay.
