Job summary

BTY Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Alberta team (Calgary or Edmonton). You will oversee development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, mentor junior staff, and coordinate stakeholder engagement across diverse projects.

This role emphasizes strong leadership, risk management, and client relations in a dynamic environment. The position requires 10–12+ years of relevant experience, a PMP and/or P.Eng, and advanced proficiency with MS Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

  • 10 to 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring team members.
  • Professional qualification: PMP and/or P.Eng.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Monitor change management processes and workflows.
  • Attend required meetings including working groups, design coordination, and governance meetings.

We support projects of all sizes and procurement models, from Design-Build and Construction Management to complex P3/AFP delivery. Our Project Management team is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join them in Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton).

What You Get to Do

  • Monitor change management processes and workflows.
  • Attend all required meetings including working groups, design coordination, and governance meetings.

  • Ensuring project deadlines are met through clear communication and follow-up on project plans, schedules, and action items.
  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project.
  • Ensuring stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution.
  • Accountable for coordinating workload and team resources.
  • Mentors all junior and intermediate level team members while actively participating and leading team meetings.
  • Prepare the technical components and fees for proposals.
  • Networks occasionally promoting the business, cross‑selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships.
What You’ll Bring
  • Having 10 to 12+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience mentoring team members.
  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following: Construction Project Management, Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Architectural or Electrical Engineering, Estimating.
  • Professional qualification obtained: PMP and/or P.Eng.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite programs, including MS Project.
  • Advanced knowledge of project delivery models, including, construction management, and design‑bid‑build.
  • Experienced in managing projects through design, procurement, and construction.
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills combined with sound judgment and initiative.
  • Responsive to internal and external stakeholder requests.Self‑motivated with excellent organizational, communication and report writing skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and ability to work to own initiatives.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail to produce quality work with good time management.
  • Eligible to work in Canada or pursuing a work permit.
  • Hold a valid drivers license.
