Position Summary
The Part Time Sales Lead is an entry‑level leadership role responsible for opening and closing the store, supporting sales performance, delivering exceptional customer experiences, and executing day‑to‑day store operations. This Sales Lead supports the Store Manager by following customer engagement strategies and maintaining merchandising standards that support a positive customer experience.
The Primary work location will be: 201 Banff Ave, Banff, AB T1L 1G4, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Experience / Customer Service
- Ensure excellence in customer service by upholding high retail standards.
- Initiate conversations with all customers, building relationships to learn their interests and identify suitable products.
- Assist customers in the fitting room.
- Recommend products that align with customer needs and preferences through suggestive selling.
- Build brand loyalty by promoting the rewards program and achieving weekly loyalty sign‑up goals.
- Learn about new products and trends to better engage customers.
- Consistently achieve personal sales targets and contribute to overall store performance.
- Provide information and advice on product performance, features, and specifications.
Visual, Operation, and Safety
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and keep the sales floor clean, organized, and well‑stocked.
- Assist in daily store operations, including opening and closing, freight processing, accurate transaction processing, cash handling, and maintaining point‑of‑sale integrity.
- Follow company and store policies, procedures, and operational guidelines; communicate concerns to store leadership.
- Assign tasks to team members as directed to support operational needs.
- React quickly to all customer or employee injuries and report them immediately to the Manager on Duty.
- Participate in Loss Prevention Audits, understand and comply with company loss‑prevention policies to minimize store shrink.
Leadership
- Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the other members of the leadership team.
- Regularly communicate any employee’s concerns directly to the Store Manager.
- Assist with onboarding and training new team members in sales behaviors, customer service expectations, and store procedures.
- Address customer concerns professionally and in accordance with company guidelines.

Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Retail or customer‑facing experience preferred but not required.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
- This role requires a minimum availability of 30 hours per week including one weekend day and rotating holidays; additional availability is a plus.
Essential Functions
- Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with customers and team members.
- Operate office equipment and technology (e.g., cash register, computers, phones, scanners).
- Stand and move throughout the store during scheduled shifts.
- Walk and move to assist customers, retrieve merchandise, and recover the store.
- Lifting and carrying, ability to maneuver and/or lift 25 lbs. regularly, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Ability to push/pull full racks of merchandise for restocking the store.
- Ability to reach, stretch, bend, stoop, and crouch to retrieve items from shelves, restock, and maintain store cleanliness.
- Manual labor is required occasionally to assemble displays and/or rearrange the store layout.
- Vision to accurately read labels, assist customers, and tasks that require attention to detail.
- Ability to use fine manipulation, and grasp with hands to sort and organize clothing, e.g., place on hangers, folding, organize in color/size order.

Compensation
The estimated base pay for this role is between $16.25 and $20.00 per hour. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target range for this location. Compensation packages are based on many factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, work experience, relevant training and certifications, business needs, market demands and specific geographical location. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonuses based on achieving store and personal targets.
