Job summary

49 North Helicopters in Campbell River, BC is seeking a licensed helicopter pilot to support base operations and perform flights in rugged mountain terrain. You will ensure safe operation and regulatory compliance while contributing to efficient daily operations.

The ideal candidate has 1000–1500 PIC hours, a Canadian CPL(H), and a CAT1 Medical, plus B206 or AS350 endorsement. Must be able to work in Canada and communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• 1000–1500 hours PIC required.
• Canadian CPL(H) and valid CAT1 Medical.
• B206 or AS350 endorsement desired.
• Experience in mountain flying and precision external-load operations.
• Must be legally able to work in Canada and fluent in English.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Report to the Chief Pilot and Operations Manager


• Support various types of base operations


• Operate the helicopter safely and in full compliance with all regulations set out by Transport Canada and company policies


• Conduct pre-flight inspections, daily flight logbook entries, and post-flight checks in accordance with company procedures


• Perform scheduled and unscheduled flights in support of daily operations


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum1,000 - 1,500 hours PIC


• Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence (H)


• Valid CAT1 Medical


• B206 or AS350 endorsement


• Experience in mountain flying and precision external-load operations


• Must be legally able to work in Canada


• Must demonstrate a clear understanding of written and spoken English
