Job summary

All Equip Repair in St. Marys, ON, is seeking a Body & Paint Technician to handle collision repairs, refurbishments on heavy trucks, and bodywork on custom builds. You will also participate in finishing on Platinum Trailers manufacturing line, gaining exposure to OEM-level production in a hands-on environment.

This full-time, on-site role offers a day shift, with pay between CAD 28 and 36 per hour, plus benefits and RRSP contributions; overtime is available for those who want it.

Qualifications

• Experience with surface prep, colour matching, and spray equipment.
• Licensed or enrolled in automotive painter / auto body trades.
• Comfort working on heavy trucks, trailers and large equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform collision and damage repairs on heavy trucks, trailers, and fleet equipment.
• Conduct surface preparation including sanding, masking, priming, and filling.
• Apply primer and finish coats across a range of work.
• Match colours accurately and maintain high finish standards.
• Work with steel, aluminum, and fiberglass materials.
• Communicate with the shop team on status and needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace with proper PPE.
• Mentor apprentices and support the team as needed.
• Contribute to production finishing on new builds and refurbishments.
