We are seeking a proactive Heavy Machine Operatorto join our team at our Bridgeport Fittings facility in Stratford, CT for a second shift position (3:45pm - 11:45pm).

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates Machines both hand fed and Automatic Assembly
• Able to read routings for component parts needed.
• Check quality of parts being made.
• Responsible for wearing safety equipment consisting of earplugs, safety glasses and steel or composite toe safety shoes.
• Follow Supervisor’s and Foreperson’s instructions. Communicate with other employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to operate machines.
• On the job training.
• Must be able to understand all essential functions. In approximately one month, candidate should have a good understanding of the job.
• Good use of common sense.

ENVIRONMENT:
100% performed in plant facilities with extensive noise and machinery running

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; stand; walk; use hands and fingers to feel and handle; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to stoop, kneel, and crouch; lift weight or exert a force up to a maximum of 50 pounds.
