Job Overview

The Equipment Operator uses a reach truck to move product from the overstock locations into picking locations as directed by MMS, investigate issues with overstock counts, and assist with inbound tasks where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for full, year-end, Distribution Centre inventory count
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and escalate to appropriate stakeholders
  • Assist in counting and maintaining inventory levels; use RF scanning equipment to track inventory movements.
  • Put away inventory in proper picking locations

Operations

  • Flexibly respond to varying workloads and be willing to learn to operate new types of equipment as needed.
  • Load and unload materials from trailers, move merchandise in and around the warehouse.
  • Complete ongoing bin replenishment, overstock cleanup and consolidation.
  • Work closely with other team members and departments to optimize the warehouse operation.
  • Report any discrepancies, equipment malfunctions, or safety incidents to the supervisor immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment to facilitate operations

Equipment & Maintenance

  • Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Safely operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.
  • Complete daily equipment inspections
  • Maintain general housekeeping duties according to the ‘5S’ at the end of each shift (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
