Job summary

Antrim Western Star & Atlantic Equipment in Arnprior, Ontario, is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment / Truck Technician to grow with our expanding business. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain LiuGong equipment and may work on Western Star trucks, enjoying factory training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or equivalent experience.
• Experience diagnosing and repairing LiuGong equipment and trucks.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain LiuGong heavy equipment.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and inspections on construction equipment.
• Assist with diagnosis and repair of commercial trucks as needed.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, engine, transmission, and drivetrain systems.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
• Communicate repair findings with customers.
• Follow manufacturer procedures and safety standards.

As our heavy equipment business continues to grow, you'll play a key role in supporting our LiuGong customers. During this growth phase, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to work on Western Star and other commercial trucks, providing a diverse and rewarding workload while helping support both sides of our business. Whether your background is primarily in heavy equipment, commercial trucks, or both, we provide factory training, technical support, and ongoing professional development to help you become an expert on the LiuGong product line. • Complete warranty and service documentation accurately.
• Communicate repair findings and recommendations with customers.
• Follow all manufacturer procedures and safety standards.
• Work collaboratively with the service team to deliver exceptional customer support.

Requirements

• Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with heavy equipment, commercial trucks, or both.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience with hydraulic and electrical systems is considered an asset.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Positive attitude and willingness to continue learning.
