Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises seeks experienced welders to join our Fort McMurray team, performing shop and field repairs on a fleet of heavy‑duty highway trucks with a focus on welding and fabrication.

The ideal candidate is a certified Journeyman Welder (minimum 3 years) or an in‑progress Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice, with strong safety and quality workmanship. OSSA/CSTS certs and a clean driving record are preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Welder certification (minimum 3 years) or Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice in progress.
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean abstract.
• Knowledge of heavy truck repair including hydraulic, electronic, suspension, and computer diagnosis.
• Experience with water, vac, and steam trucks preferred.
• OSSA certification (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certification.
• Pre‑employment evaluation, drug & alcohol, and fit for duty screening completed.

Birch Mountain Enterprises is seeking experienced Welders to join their team in Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves both shop and field repairs on a fleet of heavy‑duty highway trucks, with a focus on welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate will be a certified Journeyman Welder or a Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice, committed to safety and quality workmanship.

What You’ll Need

• Certified as a Journeyman Welder (minimum 3 years) or Heavy Duty Technician Apprentice (in process)
• Valid driver’s license (minimum class 5) with clean abstract
• Knowledge in all aspects of heavy truck repair, including hydraulic, electronic, suspension, and computer diagnosis
• Experience with water, vac, and steam trucks preferred
• Clear verbal and written communication skills
• OSSA (or OSSA BSO) and CSTS certification
• Successful completion of BME pre‑employment evaluation, drug & alcohol, and fit for duty screening
