Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician at our Trois-Riviere Construction & Forestry location to diagnose, service, maintain and repair customer and dealer-owned equipment.

You will perform basic to complex diagnostics, document work orders, and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards while using tools and computer systems such as John Deere Service Advisor. The role requires strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic knowledge and a commitment to customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy equipment environment preferred.
• Apprentice or Journeyperson status in heavy duty equipment trade preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and service heavy equipment efficiently and safely.
• Use instruments, hand/power tools and computer systems for diagnostics.
• Document machine information and actions on work orders.
• Order parts and coordinate with parts personnel as needed.
• Road test equipment and verify operation after repairs.

Brandt is currently seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for our Trois-Riviere Construction & Forestry location.

This position is responsible for performing basic/complex diagnostics, service maintenance and repair work on customer and/or dealer-owned equipment on an efficient basis.

What You Will Be Responsible For

• Efficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipment
• Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently
• Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems
• Accurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken
• Continually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standards
• Use computer applications and information systems (i.e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis
• Use parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnel
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required

• Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred
• Enrolled as an Apprentice or certified Journeyperson in the heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade preferred
• Must be committed to customer service and service excellence
