Job summary

Jardeg, on behalf of Graham, is seeking a Heavy Equipment Technician for our Edmonton Shop. The role provides hands-on maintenance and repairs of civil construction equipment and requires diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring work aligns with manufacturer specifications.

The position requires a Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal in Heavy Equipment, WHMIS and CSTS, a valid Class 5 driver’s license, and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance and repairs of civil construction equipment (dozers, excavators, trucks).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical faults.
• Perform preventive maintenance and service tasks per manufacturer specs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair civil construction equipment in the Edmonton Shop.
• Run repairs and maintenance tasks and interpret work orders.
• Diagnose faults and replace defective parts to spec.

Jardeg is currently recruiting for aHeavy Equipment Technicianto work with Technical Workforce Inc. at ourEdmonton Shop.

The schedule for this position is 5 days on and 2 days off. There will be occasional travel required to different project sites within Edmonton and surrounding areas, specifically our DOW project in Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

Responsibilities:

• Hands on maintenance and repairs of all civil construction equipment including dozers, articulated trucks, excavators, etc.
• Running repairs and maintenance work
• Troubleshoot and diagnosing electrical, mechanical and hydraulic faults.
• Preventive maintenance and services.
• Complete work according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Work closely with customers maintenance and operations personnel.
• Interpret work orders and technical manuals.
• Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.
• Ability to understand hydraulic and electronic schematics.
• Provincial Journeyperson or Red Seal Certification in Heavy Equipment Technician trade
• WHMIS
• CSTS
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
• Fall Protection is an asset
• Reliable transportation
