Job summary

CORE INDUSTRIAL, part of the SECON Group, is seeking an Equipment Operator in Rocanville, SK. You will operate and perform basic maintenance on site, follow all safety policies, and maintain logs of hours and service status.

Overtime may be required, with the position located on site in Rocanville. The role emphasizes strong equipment knowledge, safety-minded work ethic, and the ability to work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in operation of equipment.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.
• 1A Driver’s License is preferred but not required.
• Heavy Equipment Certificate is an asset.
• Effective self-management, good problem-solving skills, planning, organizing and priority setting skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be open and flexible to change, take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment (loader, excavator, grader, dozer) and other equipment as trained.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
• Inspect equipment on a regular basis, pre and post operating.
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to supervisor in order to facilitate corrective action.
• Maintain logs of working hours and of vehicle service and repair status, following applicable provincial and federal regulations.
• Communicate effectively with the public, customers, and co-workers both verbally and in written form.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding customer problems.
• Laborer duties will be required as needed to assist on site.
