Job summary

CORE INDUSTRIAL, part of the SECON Group, is seeking an Underground Operator to support mine operations at the Mosaic K3 Site in Esterhazy, SK. The role follows a 7/7 schedule with 12-hour days and potential overtime.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform inspections, and uphold safety policies while coordinating with supervision to address any site deficiencies.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in operating equipment.
• Knowledge of basic equipment maintenance.
• Heavy Equipment Certificate is an asset.
• Industrial mining experience preferred.
• Self-managing with planning, organizing and priority setting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Open to change and takes initiative.
• Pre-employment medical exam and drug test required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of equipment (grader, loader, skid-steer and telehandler).
• Spot equipment as required.
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
• Complete workplace inspections on a regular basis, pre and post operating of equipment.
• Communicate unsafe conditions or wear/damage to supervision for corrective action.
• Complete Work Orders and Field Level Risk Assessment Cards per standards.
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding site deficiencies.

Job description

Position

Reporting to the Underground Supervisor, you will be responsible for the function of supporting underground mine operations. As an Operator, you will also be required to follow all policies and procedures and legislation required to operate the equipment safety.

Position is located at Esterhazy, SK at the Mosaic K3 Site.

Position is based on a 7/7 shiftwork schedule and 12 hours/day; however, the candidate must be willing to work overtime. Living Allowance is not offered.

Job Duties

• Operate a variety of equipment (grader, loader, skid-steer and telehandler);
• Spot equipment as required;
• Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances;
• Complete workplace inspections on a regular basis, pre and post operating of equipment;
• Communicate any unsafe conditions or wear and/or damage of equipment to the General Foreman in order to facilitate corrective action;
• Complete Work Orders and Field Level Risk Assessment Cards, following Core / Mosaic K3 standards; and
• Provide feedback to supervision regarding any site deficiencies.
