Job summary

Équipements Nordiques is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our onsite crew in Schefferville, QC. The role requires operating heavy equipment, reading blueprints and MSDS, performing pre-operational checks, and completing logs accurately to support field operations.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience, an appropriate trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience, and proficiency in English or French.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience.
• English or French language proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment.
• Read blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Understand the purpose, proper usage and information found on MSDS.
• Complete onboard and other logs.
• Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment.
• Secure special attachments to equipment.
• Operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
• Perform minor repairs to equipment.
