Job description

Boucher Bros Lumber Ltd. is seeking an experienced individual to fill a role as Heavy equipment Operator. The position requires shift work but will typically have weekends off. Applicants for the Heavy Equipment Operator position should have experience in operating at least 2 of the following types of mobile equipment: Wheel loaders, Dozer/ Crawler, Butt-N-Top/ Excavator, Grader, Skid-steer, or Rock-truck.

Safety is very important to Boucher Bros. Lumber Ltd. and as such the successful candidate will be expected to adhere to all company policies & procedures, and to be proactive in identifying & reporting potential hazards that could arise.

Mill Supervisors

Qualifications:
  • Must have a minimum 1 - 3 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator in a high volume and demanding environment
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  • Physically Fit
  • Team player but also possess the ability to work alone.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Written and Oral communication skills in English and/or French.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to document tasks.
  • Bondable
  • Current Standard First Aid Certification is an asset
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma preferred but not required.
  • Operator ticket will be considered an asset
Shift Schedule:
  • 2-week Day Shift/ Night Shift Rotation
  • 4-day weeks
  • Schedules up to 88hrs bi-weekly.
  • Overtime as required
