Job summary

NSC Minerals Ltd. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently run dozers, loaders, excavators, and other machinery, while supporting yard and facility upkeep.

You will perform basic preventative maintenance during downtime, follow SOPs, and assist with general labour tasks. The role requires outdoor work in all weather and a strong commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of equipment operation experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Willingness to support various site tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Ability to work outdoors year round.
• Manual labour is required.
• PPE is required to be worn on site.

Job Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a variety of equipment, including dozers, wheel loaders, excavators, skid steers, graders, rock trucks, and aerial work platforms (AWP). Operators also support general yard and facility upkeep to maintain smooth daily operations. This position is additionally responsible for performing preventative maintenance during operation downtime and supporting labour duties as required.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong safety awareness, versatility, and solid operating skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, graders, rock trucks, and AWPs.
• Perform preventative maintenance during operation downtime, including basic inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and reporting equipment issues.
• Perform yard and facility housekeeping duties as required.
• Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum one (1) year of equipment operation experience in a heavy industrial environment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence.
• Flexible mindset with willingness to support various site tasks.
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
