Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience operating counterbalance forklifts, front-end loaders, or similar yard equipment in manufacturing or construction.
• Valid Forklift and Front-End Loader certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supply raw materials and remove finished products to support production.
• Load customer deliveries safely and ensure accuracy with shipping paperwork.
• Organize yard layout for efficient storage and retrieval.
• Receive vendor deliveries and store materials properly.
• Assist with daily housekeeping and general yard duties.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other yard equipment safely.
• Complete daily equipment inspections and maintenance logs.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment standards.
• Communicate daily with production and yard teams for material flow.
• Coordinate with shipping to ensure orders are ready for delivery.
• Assist with general housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
• Perform other duties as required.

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Kingston, ON

Job Type: Temporary ongoing with strong opportunity to go permanent.

Pay Rate: $22.50-34.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Shifts: Monday-Friday: 7:00am-3:30pm (Overtime may be required) - Shifts may be subject to change depending on business needs

We are looking for reliable and physically capable Heavy Equipment Operators to support production in a busy manufacturing environment in Kingston. This role is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the plant by safely and efficiently moving raw materials, finished products, and molds within the yard. This role is suited to someone who is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment. Previous experience and certification in operating front-end loaders, counterbalance forklifts is required.

Responsibilities:

• Service the plant by supplying raw materials for production and removing finished products.

• Load customer deliveries safely and efficiently, ensuring accuracy with shipping paperwork.
• Organize and maintain yard layout for efficient product storage and retrieval.
• Receive vendor deliveries and store materials properly.
• Support plant operations by assisting with daily housekeeping and general yard duties.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other yard equipment safely and effectively.
• Complete daily equipment inspection and maintenance logs.
• Conduct basic equipment maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
• Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and equipment standards.
• Communicate daily with production and yard teams to ensure efficient flow of materials.
• Coordinate with the shipping team to ensure customer orders are complete and ready for delivery.
• Assist with general housekeeping and maintenance tasks.
• Perform other related duties or special assignments as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1-2 years’ experience operating counterbalance forklift, front-end loaders, or similar yard equipment in a manufacturing or construction setting required.
• Valid Forklift and Front-End Loader certification required.

• Training in lifting and rigging techniques considered an asset.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks
• Comfortable standing, bending, lifting, and using tools throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
• Safety boots are required
• Must be able to provide a Criminal Background Check (CPIC)
