Job summary

Backwoods Energy Services is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for their forestry operations in Alberta. Operators will work with a variety of forestry equipment, including mulchers, feller bunchers, processors, skidders, and excavators.

This role emphasizes safety and quality on large-scale land-clearing projects. A reliable, motivated candidate who embraces rotational shifts will fit well within our Indigenous-owned company’s safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating forestry equipment such as feller buncher, processor, skidder, mulcher, or excavator.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Standard First Aid certification; CSTS 2020; Ground Disturbance Level II.
• Physically capable of outdoor work in varying weather.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel as required.
• Ability to pass a practical competency assessment.

Heavy Equipment Operators - Forestry Operations - 10/4 - Up to $45/hr - Edmonton, AB

Backwoods Energy Services is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for their forestry operations in Alberta. Operators will work with a variety of forestry equipment, including mulchers, feller bunchers, processors, skidders, and excavators. This is an excellent opportunity for safety-focused individuals to join a leading Indigenous-owned company and work on large-scale land-clearing projects. The ideal candidates are reliable, motivated, and committed to safety and quality.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 2 years’ experience operating one or more of: Feller Buncher, Processor, Skidder, 250 HP Forestry Mulcher, or Excavator
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
• Standard First Aid certification
• CSTS 2020 certification
• Ground Disturbance Level II certification
• Physically capable of working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, overtime, weekends, and travel as required
• Ability to successfully complete a practical competency assessment

What Will Make You Stand Out
