L.A. Hébert is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic for the evening shift. You will diagnose equipment issues, perform repairs, and contribute to preventive maintenance in a busy shop environment.
Requirements include a DEP in construction equipment or heavy vehicle mechanics, 3+ years of experience, and a valid Class 5 license. A team player with initiative is essential. The role runs four evenings per week, Monday through Thursday, with emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.
Diagnose equipment issues and perform necessary repairs;
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment;
Complete inspections and other reports related to the task;
Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the garage and mechanical facilities;
Ensure the smooth running of operations and the quality of mechanical work;
Strictly follow safety guidelines;
Training as a construction equipment or heavy vehicle mechanic (DEP);
At least 3 years of experience;
Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 a plus);
Knowledge of the construction industry (a plus);
Demonstrate initiative and possess strong organizational skills and a strong work ethic;
Be passionate about mechanics and a team player.
