Job summary

Williamson Equipment is seeking on and off road Heavy Duty Mechanics to diagnose and repair a wide range of heavy equipment. Licensed Journeyman trades and 2–4 year apprentices with experience will be considered.

Qualifications

• Licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Technician or 2-4 year apprenticeship with experience
• CVIP certification is a great asset but not required
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 an asset but not required)
• Must have own tools and be proficient with trade tools
• Able to perform repairs with minimal supervision
• Maintain safe, clean working environment
• Team player willing to assist where required

Job description

Williamson Equipment is currently seeking on and off road Heavy Duty Mechanics. Must have a strong knowledge of a wide-range of heavy-duty equipment that will allow them to effectively diagnose and repair potential problems. Only licensed Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanics and 2-4 year apprentices with experience will be considered. Williamson Equipment has been in business since 2003. We are a dedicated dealer of Ammann quality compaction and paving equipment. Our main focus is on soil and asphalt compaction, we are a proud authorized dealer of Ammann compaction equipment. We are also proud to carry other brands such as Carlson paving products, Mauldin paving products, and Husqvarna construction products. We are also a very busy government certified commercial vehicle inspection facility.

Candidates should possess the following:

• Preventative Maintenance and servicing skills for a large variety of equipment
• Trouble shooting systems to determine faults and extent of repair – example: hydraulic, electrical & mechanical systems of a variety of equipment.
• Licensed/Certified Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (CVIP certificate would be a great asset, but not required)
• Valid class 5 driver’s license (Class 3 would be an asset, but not required)
• Must have own tools and have proficiency in the use of all tools of trade
• Able to perform and complete repairs in a time manner without direct supervision
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Team player and willing to assist where required is a must.
