Job summary

L.C.L. Excavation (2006) Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to maintain and repair a fleet of construction equipment. The role includes servicing excavators, dozers, loaders, rollers, dump trucks, and support vehicles.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and carry out repairs in shop or on active worksites, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic/technician in construction or similar industry.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and repair documentation.
• Welding and fabrication experience is an asset.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Valid driver's license (Class 3 or 1 an asset).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and trucks (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical systems).
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and scheduled servicing.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate repair needs to supervisors.
• Work in the shop as well as perform field service on active jobsites.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and regulatory standards.
