THE ROLE

We are currently recruiting for a Licensed 421A Heavy Equipment Mechanic for a well-established industrial operation in Arthur, Ontario, specializing in environmental and agricultural production services.

This is a hands‑on maintenance role responsible for servicing and repairing heavy mobile equipment in a safety-focused and team‑oriented environment. The successful candidate will perform preventative maintenance, hydraulic work, troubleshooting, and major mechanical repairs on a variety of heavy equipment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance and repairs on heavy mobile equipment including screeners, grinders, bulldozers, and front‑end loaders
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and operational issues
• Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications
• Repair or replace defective parts using hand and power tools
• Weld, fabricate, and manufacture custom parts when required
• Complete preventative maintenance documentation and repair records
• Order parts and maintain repair documentation as needed
• Prioritize repairs to minimize equipment downtime
• Follow all company health & safety policies and procedures
• Work independently with minimal supervision in indoor and outdoor environments

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid 421A Heavy Equipment Technician License
• 3+ years of experience in an industrial, construction, or heavy equipment environment
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills
• Experience with hydraulics, welding, fabrication, and preventative maintenance
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Valid G Class Driver’s License
• Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding work
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and industrial conditions
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and following company procedures
