Job summary

Brandt is seeking a Field Service Technician at our Castlegar location to repair and maintain heavy equipment used in construction and forestry. This role involves diagnosing, assembling/disassembling, ordering parts, and performing timely repairs while ensuring safety and high service standards.

The successful candidate will have mechanical experience in heavy equipment, ideally a Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment trade, and strong customer service skills to work with clients

Qualifications

• Heavy equipment experience preferred.
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Equipment trade preferred.
• Customer service and service excellence focus.
• Ability to communicate with customers and team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate condition of heavy equipment and diagnose issues.
• Assemble/disassemble, order parts, and repair equipment.
• Use tools, instruments, and computer systems safely.
• Document machine information and actions on work orders.
• Conduct safe service tasks per standards.
• Use John Deere Service Advisor to document maintenance and diagnosis.
• Locate and order parts from parts personnel.
• Road test equipment and check attachment operation.
