Job summary

The Bayview Group is seeking a skilled Technician in Saint John, New Brunswick. This permanent, full-time role offers a starting wage of CA$23.01 per hour and requires a college certification in Truck & Transport or equivalent, with block 3 completion.

You will diagnose and repair trucks and trailers, perform preventive maintenance, and participate in after-hours service as needed. Ideal candidates have at least 4 years in a service environment, maintain a clean driver’s abstract, and can lift

Qualifications

• Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport OR Heavy Equipment Service Technician (Minimum Block 3).
• Clean Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Reference check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Minimum 4 years experience in a service environment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and diagnose medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers, including engines, power trains, electrical, steering, electronics, brakes and suspension.
• Identify parts required for repair of disassembled units.
• Perform all levels of preventive maintenance services.
• Identify warrantable repairs and document on repair orders.
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or verify repair resolution.
• Complete technical reports from different manufacturers, in a timely accurate manner.
• Available to work covering the After-hours Service call for emergencies.
• Ability to work in a team environment and present yourself in a professional manner with a positive cooperative attitude.
• Maintain an organized workspace and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
