Job summary

BURNCO Rock Products Ltd is seeking a Heavy-Duty Red Seal Mechanic to strengthen our BC Interior team. You will manage preventive maintenance across a Ready-Mix fleet, lead journeymen and apprentices, and ensure compliance with provincial rules while maintaining strong safety practices.

The role requires a Red Seal or provincial certification, experience with heavy equipment, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal or Provincial Certification required.
• Experience in Ready-Mix field is an asset.
• Proficient with Office 365 applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic system repairs and maintenance.
• Class 5 license with clean Driver’s Abstract.
• Class 1 or 3 license with clean Driver’s Abstract is an asset.
• Follow and lead safe work practices.
• Physically fit for varying weather and heavy lifting (50 lbs/23 kgs).

Responsibilities

• Oversee Preventative Maintenance Program and repairs for Ready-Mix Concrete Fleet, including mixer trucks, wheel-loaders, and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain fleet per Provincial Regulations, including service records and documentation.
• Oversee a team of mechanics and maintenance staff including Journeyman and Apprentices.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Be Doing
