BURNCO Rock Products Ltd. is hiring a Heavy-Duty Red Seal Mechanic to support our BC Interior team. You will apply your craft with pride, drive improvements, and contribute to a strong safety culture in a growing company.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal or Provincial Certification.
• Experience in Ready-Mix field is an asset.
• Proficient with Office 365 applications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with good interpersonal skills.
• Class 5 license with clean drivers abstract required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Preventative Maintenance Program and repairs for Ready-Mix Concrete Fleet, including mixer trucks, wheel-loaders and other mobile equipment.
• Maintain fleet per Provincial Regulations, including service records and documentation.
• Oversee a team of mechanics and maintenance staff including Journeyman and Apprentices.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Will Be DoingKey Accountabilities

The primary areas of responsibility include

• Oversee Preventative Maintenance Program and Repairs for Ready-Mix Concrete Fleet, including Mixer trucks, Wheel-loaders, and various mobile equipment
• Maintain fleet as per Provincial Regulations, including service records and applicable documentations
• Oversee a team of mechanics, maintenance staff including Journeyman and Apprentices
• Other duties as assigned

What We Would Like from You

• Journeyman Red Seal or Provincial Certification
• Experience working in the Ready-Mix field is an asset
• Proficient with Office 365 applications
• Strong mechanical aptitude with effective interpersonal skills
• Proficiency using diagnostic software
• Experienced with Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic system repairs and maintenance
• Class 5 license with clean Drivers Abstract required
• Class 1 or 3 license with clean Drivers Abstract an asset
• Follow and lead safe work practices
• Physically fit with the ability to work in conditions which may include varying weather and heavy lifting (50 lbs / 23 kgs)
