Job summary

Southern Industrial & Truck Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated Rig Mechanic to troubleshoot, inspect, and diagnose drilling and service rig equipment, gensets, and related truck and trailer repairs.

The role is predominantly field service-based, requiring strong diagnostic skills, safety awareness, and the ability to test repaired equipment for proper performance. Must have First Aid, CPR & H2S, a valid driver’s license, and a valid passport.

Qualifications

• Troubleshoot and diagnose drilling and service rig equipment.
• Perform field service repairs and maintenance.
• Coordinate with oilfield personnel to ensure efficient operations.
• Adhere to safety standards and company policies.

- Southern Industrial & Truck is looking for a highly motivated Rig Mechanic. - This individual must be able to troubleshoot, inspect & diagnose Drilling & Service Rig equipment, gensets as well be capable of Truck & Trailer repairs if needed. You must be able to determine the extent of repair as well as adjust repair and or replace defective parts; then test repaired equipment for proper performance. The majority of the work will be field service work.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete repairs on all assigned equipment.
• Order parts required to complete repairs.
• Work with other Oilfield Personnel.
• Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.
• Use computer to input all time sheets, materials, equipment. information for purchase orders.
• Perform work mainly in oil field and sometimes in shop.
• Act in a professional manner in order to project a positive company image.
• Assist with others from time to time as required.
• Must have First Aid, CPR & H2S
• Must have valid drivers license.
• Must have a valid passport
