Job summary

Kenan Advantage Group Inc. in Saskatoon is seeking ALL levels of apprentices for truck and trailer technician roles in our full-service shop. You will receive on-the-job training with wage continuance and options for tuition reimbursement as you progress.

Depending on skill level, you will learn to interpret work orders, perform preventive maintenance, diagnose faults, and repair or replace components on trucks and trailers. Flexible scheduling may include evenings or weekends.

Qualifications

  • Apprenticeship in truck/trailer technology required.

Responsibilities

  • Interpreting work orders and technical manuals, performing scheduled preventative maintenance services, diagnosing faults or malfunctions.
  • Adjusting equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems on truck and trailers.
  • Operating oxy-acetylene torches or perform minor welding repairs (non-code work).
  • Testing repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work matches manufacturers’ specifications and regulations.
  • Completing service repair orders and billing out all parts used on repair orders.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evenings and weekends.

We have full-service shops where our Heavy Equipment Technicians and Trailer Techs are responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of our fleet of transport trucks and trailers.

About the position:
