  • At least 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician is required.

Heavy Duty Mechanic - DSS/Technology Technician - Suncor

Position Overview

Reporting to the Service Supervisor, the Heavy Duty Mechanic will troubleshoot and maintain DSS and 4G systems on large mining fleets at two Suncor locations. You will work with customers and supervision to prioritize daily tasks addressing the most pressing needs.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
  • At least 1 year experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
  • Strong safety dedication
  • Extensive DSS, 4G, and Vision link systems training and knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Understanding of Caterpillar products (asset)
  • Experience with forestry and mining equipment (asset)
  • Completion of Finning S Level courses (asset)
  • Team-oriented mindset
Additional Notes
  • Work 14x14 shift pattern, rotating days and nights, supporting both Suncor locations
  • Perform maintenance and repairs during downtime
  • Must be fit tested and able to wear a respirator
  • Shift changes will follow collective agreement terms
  • Candidate selection complies with collective agreement
