Job summary

Pursuit Collection is seeking an apprentice to obtain a Alberta Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification and contribute to our maintenance team. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and repair or replace defective parts across equipment, ensuring safe and reliable operations at our facilities.

Successful candidates will have automotive maintenance or technical trade experience, a valid Class 1-3 license (asset), and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Apprentice to obtain Alberta Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification.
• Automotive maintenance or technical trade experience.
• Valid driver’s license – Class 1, 2 or 3 is an asset.
• Consent to criminal record check; safety policies observed.
• First-Aid or higher is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures when performing duties.
• Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment issues.
• Repair or replace defective parts and adjust equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Service attachments and working tools; keep area clean.
• Maintain daily records of work orders and parts.
• Help improve operations, reduce downtime, and streamline processes.
• Support colleagues and co-workers in duties.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Safety 1st! Ensure to follow adequate and proper safety procedures when performing any duties.
• Perform preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose equipment problems and determine repairs as needed.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Service attachments and working tools.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work area and assist with cleaning duties in working environment.
• Maintain daily record of all works orders, part orders and other administrative tasks.
• Demonstrate continuous efforts to improve operations, decrease downtime and improve processes.
• Support colleagues and co-workers in their duties.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Working as an apprentice to obtain a Valid Alberta (or inter-provincial) Heavy Duty Mechanic Journeyman certification
• Automotive maintenance or technical trade experience
• Valid driver’s license – Class 1,2 or 3 experience an asset
• Must adhere to the Company’s Covid, Drug and Alcohol policies.
• Must meet the Organization grooming and appearance standards.
• To honor our commitment to be “Always Honest” all employees must consent to a criminal record check.
• Standard First-Aid or higher an asset.
