Caron Transportation Systems in Saskatoon is seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic for the morning shift at the Saskatoon Terminal. The schedule is 8 days on and 6 days off, with workdays from Wednesday to Thursday, excluding Sundays. Shifts run from 7:00 a.m.

to 5:30 p.m. Responsibilities include inspecting, diagnosing, repairing and servicing all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to meet regulatory requirements, using hand and power tools, and mentoring apprentices.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service trucks and trailers to meet regulatory requirements.
• Use hand and power tools to perform repairs per specifications.
• Read work orders, interpret procedures and manuals; write work orders.
• Mentor apprentices and assist as needed; perform CVIP inspections if licensed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Duties

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
• Competently use hand and power tools to carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications
• Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals
• Write work orders and diagnose the cause of failures
• Mentor and assist apprentices
• Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program, if licensed to do so
• Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management
