Job summary

Heidelberg Materials North America is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic (on Road) to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy‑duty equipment in Fort McMurray, Alberta. You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and ensure equipment is safe and reliable.

Applicants should have strong troubleshooting skills, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty mechanic (on Road) required.
• CVIP License considered an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

Conditions of Employment

• Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination and background check.

Work Environment

• Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
