Job summary

Caron Transportation Systems is seeking a Truck and Transport Mechanic for the Edmonton Terminal, Tuesday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on repair of transport trucks and trailers.

Base pay with overtime, paid training, and benefits are provided. Applicants with a flexible schedule and a professional attitude are encouraged to apply.

  • CVIP license will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and service all systems and components of transport trucks and trailers to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Competently use hand and power tools to carry out repairs according to manufacturer’s specifications
  • Read and understand work orders, task procedures, and interpret technical manuals
  • Write work orders and diagnose the cause of failures
  • Mentor and assist apprentices
  • Perform inspections as per the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program, if licensed to do so
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor/management

Job Duties
