Tramin Industrial in Atikokan, Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic with mining experience to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment used in mining operations. You will work on Sandvik mining trucks/loaders and drilling gear, applying mechanical and electrical knowledge to keep equipment reliable and safe.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years mining experience.
• Strong mechanical knowledge on Sandvik and Mclean equipment.
• Experience with underground haul trucks and loaders.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• UG common core is an asset.
• Welding experience is an asset.
• Excellent diagnostic and root-cause analysis skills.

Job description

Job Overview

We are Immediately seeking a highly skilled and energetic Heavy Duty Mechanic with a minimum of 3 years mining experience to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and machinery used primarily in the Mining environment. Your expertise will ensure optimal operational efficiency, safety, and reliability. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and passionate about industrial maintenance, with a strong foundation in mechanical and electrical systems on Sandvik mining trucks/ loaders and drilling equipment, as well as Mclean bolters.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy-duty trucks, mining equipment, and machinery.
• Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to accurately diagnose issues.
• Extensive Knowledge in Sandvik mining equipment and Mclean bolters required
• Collaborate with team members to analyze complex mechanical or electrical failures and implement effective solutions.
• Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a secure working environment for all personnel.

Skills

• Strong mechanical knowledge with experience on Sandvik and Mclean mining equipment.
• Strong experience with underground haul trucks and loaders required.
• Minimum 3 yrs experience in the Mining field Required
• Proficiency with schematics, electrical diagrams, and troubleshooting.
• UG common core an asset
• Welding experience an asset.
• Excellent analysis skills to identify root causes of equipment failures quickly.

Pay: $70.00-$79.00 per hour

Expected hours: 84.0 per week
