We are a growing and well-established trucking company based in Abbotsford, BC, currently seeking an experienced and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic to support the ongoing maintenance and safety of our fleet. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and committed to minimizing downtime through preventative and on-demand maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on semi-trucks, dry vans, and reefers.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to ensure minimal equipment downtime.

· Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs to uphold fleet safety and performance standards.

· Efficiently complete all repairs and inspections to ensure a road-ready fleet.

· Use FullBay system to manage work orders, update maintenance records, and track parts inventory.

· Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with NSC (National Safety Code) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.

· Ensure all vehicles meet CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) and Transport Canada standards.

· Prepare vehicles and documentation for CVSE audits and roadside inspections.

· Keep maintenance records up to date, including scheduled service, brake inspections, tire tread logs, and other regulatory requirements.

· Communicate with the Safety & Compliance department regarding inspection schedules and any driver-reported issues.

· Respond to roadside service calls and breakdowns when required to support fleet operations.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shop.

· Adhere to PPE requirements and all company health and safety policies.

Qualifications:

· Red Seal or equivalent Heavy Duty Mechanic certification preferred.

· 3 to 5 years of experience in heavy truck and trailer maintenance and repair.

· Experience using FullBay or similar maintenance software is an asset.

· Strong understanding of NSC, CVSE, and general transport compliance requirements.

· Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

· Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
