Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join the team at the Levack Mine in Ontario.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose and repair complex systems, and conduct routine inspections to ensure safety and compliance with mining regulations. The role requires a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician apprenticeship or equivalent certification with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Heavy Duty Equipment Technician apprenticeship or equivalent certification/experience.
• Certification of Qualification or red seal is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections on equipment to check for wear, damage, and safety compliance.

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians (HDETs) to join our team at Levack Mine. As an HDET, you will play a vital role in Magna Mining's success.

Responsibilities:

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
  
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment.
  
• Conduct routine inspections on equipment to check for wear, damage, and safety compliance.
  
• Ensure equipment is safe and operational before use, with a focus on maintaining compliance with Ontario's mining regulations and safety standards.
  
• Use diagnostic tools and technology to monitor the health of key systems and components.
  
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime by performing quick repairs and troubleshooting.
  
• Work efficiently under pressure to avoid halting production, while maintaining a focus on safety.
  

Requirements
