Job summary

Magna Mining Inc. is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technician to join our Levack Mine team in Greater Sudbury, ON. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose complex issues, and ensure all equipment remains safe and compliant with Ontario mining regulations.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship as Heavy Duty Equipment Technician or equivalent certification/experience.
• Certification of Qualification (CofQ) or Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues in equipment.
• Conduct routine inspections to check wear, damage, and safety compliance.
• Ensure equipment is safe and operational before use, complying with Ontario mining regulations and safety standards.
• Use diagnostic tools to monitor health of key systems and components.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and minimize downtime with quick repairs and troubleshooting.
• Work efficiently under pressure to avoid production halts while prioritizing safety.

Education

Heavy Duty Equipment Technician apprenticeship or equivalent certification/experience

Job Description

We are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Equipment Technicians (HDETs) to join our team at Levack Mine. As an HDET, you will play a vital role in Magna Mining's success.

Requirements
