A Day in the Life of a Mechanic:

• Maintenance or repairs of diesel, CNG, gas, and electrically operated trucks as well as associated heavy-duty equipment
• Using various power tools, hand instruments, and cutting-edge equipment
• Completing daily reports, work orders, and ordering necessary parts
• Planning and scheduling repairs in M5 planner and procure parts
• Assisting in the review of mechanical write-ups and coordinating repair schedule

What’s Required:

Mechanics must have:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); technical diploma desired
• 1+ year experience as a Red Seal Heavy Duty Mechanic
• Relevant criteria for safety-sensitive functions according to Company standards
• Follow detailed instructions, work independently, and maintain accurate records
• Willingness to operate any vehicle or equipment necessary to perform job
• Exert physical effort including pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting items up to 100 lbs.
• Use fine motor coordination with arm, hand, finger, and leg dexterity
• Ability to kneel, crawl, and climb
